Lend Your Vision To Our Next Strategic Plan

Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016

Dear VCU and VCU Health System Community:

University-wide engagement has been the hallmark of VCU’s highly successful strategic plan, Quest for Distinction. We will celebrate Quest at the close of the 2017-18 academic year. Now, it is time to come together to begin a new conversation about our next strategic plan that will take us beyond 2018 and into the next decade. I have asked Drs. Gail Hackett and Marsha Rappley to co-lead this effort and build upon the legacy of Quest.

I am pleased to invite you to join the first of those conversations as we kick off a series of Listening Sessions for our next strategic plan. Multiple 45-minute sessions are available each of the following days on the Monroe Park Campus and the MCV Campus. Seating is limited. Please RSVP to one of the sessions as soon as possible.

· Tuesday, November 15 (sessions available on both campuses)
· Wednesday, November 16 (Monroe Park Campus)
· Monday, November 21 (MCV Campus)
· Tuesday, November 22 (Monroe Park Campus)
· Monday, November 28 (MCV Campus)

The Listening Sessions are your opportunity to share your vision for VCU’s future. Session participants will engage in moderated conversations to share opportunities and concerns related to VCU’s path ahead. At the heart of these sessions is a desire to hear from all segments of this great university so that we can collectively join forces toward making our dreams for VCU a reality. We will report out in December to the VCU community about what we heard in these sessions.

This is the first of a series of opportunities for your participation and input. We will continue to make you aware of additional opportunities to participate and provide feedback as we move through this process.

Thank you, as always, for your commitment to VCU and for working together as one university that aims high and achieves great things.
