Unpacking safety at VCU
More than nine out of every 10 students, faculty and staff members at Virginia Commonwealth University feel “very safe” or “safe” on campus, according to a spring 2024 survey of more than 1,000 members of the VCU community.
What’s behind those numbers? A vast number of programs, initiatives and resources, as well as hundreds of people, dedicated to keeping VCU and VCU Health a safe place to learn, live, work and visit.
This series highlights a few of these programs, initiatives and resources and unpacks the ways in which they actively contribute to the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, visitors and the wider Richmond community.
