The Virginia Commonwealth University Board of Visitors will hold an in-person and electronic meeting on June 24, beginning at 10 a.m.

The meeting will be held in open and closed session. The meeting will take place in the James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave., Room 303. Board members who are participating electronically will access the meeting via Zoom pursuant to Virginia Freedom of Information Act Section 2.2-3708.2(D). The public may view a livestream of the open session videoconference at https://mssvideo.vcu.edu/BOV. If you would like to attend the Board of Visitors meeting in person on Friday, June 24, you must register by providing the following information via email sent to bov@vcu.edu: name, email and phone number, VCU affiliation, (e.g. student, faculty, employee, alumni, parent or member of the public), identify which date(s) you plan to attend, and any request for reasonable accommodation if needed. Please note in the subject line that you are registering to attend the June special BOV meeting. You may also call Chelsea Gray, board liaison, at (804) 828-9213 to register.

There will be a 30-minute public comment period at the beginning of the meeting.

If you would like to offer public comment at the June 24 meeting at 10 a.m., you must register by providing the following information via email to bov@vcu.edu: name, email and phone number, VCU affiliation (e.g. student, faculty, employee, alumni, parent or member of the public), and request for reasonable accommodation if needed. Please note in the subject line that you are registering to speak at the June special board meeting public comment. Speakers will proceed in the order of registration and should be in person or online at the start of the meeting at 10 a.m. to facilitate meeting operations. Speakers will be limited to a maximum of three minutes each.

Preference will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. The first five individuals to register will have the opportunity to speak during the public comment period; individuals beyond the first five to register may submit written comments (see below).

Speakers may provide materials in advance should they wish to share with the Board of Visitors.

Individuals unable to attend the public comment period or to provide comment during the allotted half-hour period may provide written comment via an open comment portal to ensure an adequate opportunity for informed public comment on the proposed agenda items. All comments submitted to the portal must be made by 4:30 p.m., June 17.
