As one of two states this year with a gubernatorial election, Virginia is at the forefront of the national political conversation. Experts from Virginia Commonwealth University are available to discuss topics related to statewide races and issues this November, including:

  • Alex Keena, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Political Science in VCU’s College of Humanities and Sciences. Keena is an expert on money and campaign finance; voting; campaigning; and redistricting and gerrymandering.
  • Jatia Wrighten, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Political Science in VCU’s College of Humanities and Sciences. Wrighten is an expert on state legislatures; Black women; voter turnout; and the importance of local elections.
