VCU Board of Visitors to meet for the BOV Scholarship interviews electronically March 1

The Virginia Commonwealth University Board of Visitors Nominating Committee will hold an electronic meeting on March 1, beginning at 3:30 p.m. 

The meeting will begin with a public comment period and then go immediately into closed session. Board members will access the meeting electronically via Zoom. The public may view a livestream of the open session videoconference at https://mssvideo.vcu.edu/BOV. Should you have any interruption with the video broadcast of the meeting, please contact Taron James at (804) 828-8313.

There will be a 15-minute public comment period at the beginning of the meeting. The board will receive comments only on matters pertaining to the proposed agenda items.  

If you would like to offer public comment at the March 1 Board of Visitors Scholarship interviews, you must register by providing the following information via email sent to bov@vcu.edu: name, email and phone number, VCU affiliation (e.g. student, faculty, employee, alumni, parent or member of the public), and request for reasonable accommodation. Please note in the subject line that you are registering to speak at the public comment. You may also call Chelsea Gray, board liaison, at (804) 828-9213 to register. 

Speakers will proceed in the order of registration and should be online at the start of the meeting at 3:30 p.m. to facilitate meeting operations. Speakers will be limited to a maximum of three minutes each.  

Preference will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. The first five individuals to register will have the opportunity to speak during the public comment period; individuals beyond the first five to register may submit written comments (see below). 

Individuals unable to attend virtually or in-person may provide written comment via an open comment portal to ensure an adequate opportunity for informed public comment on the proposed agenda items. All comments submitted to the portal must be by 4:30 p.m., Feb. 26.
