VCU President Michael Rao will deliver his State of the University Address on Thursday

Virginia Commonwealth University President Michael Rao, Ph.D., will speak about experiential learning at VCU during his third annual State of the University Address. Students, faculty, staff and all members of the VCU and VCU Health communities are invited to attend and are encouraged to RSVP.

Reporters are invited to cover the address on Thursday, Jan. 28, beginning at 11 a.m. in the Commonwealth Ballrooms at the University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. Limited media parking is available. Contact University Public Affairs at 804-828-1231 for details.

The address, which will focus on ways that a public research university can be more relevant in the 21st century, will be streamed on VCU’s home page, www.vcu.edu. For those attending the event in person, doors open at 10:30 a.m., and a question-and-answer session will follow the president's speech. Sign language interpreters will be available for the deaf and hard of hearing.
