The Valentine Richmond History Center presents the 21st annual Court End Christmas on Sunday, Dec. 9, from noon to 5 p.m.

Sponsored by the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center and CWDKids, the free open house tour features stops at some of the most prestigious historic landmarks in the Court End neighborhood north of the Capitol. Guests can experience a bit of 19th century seasonal festivities such as re-enactments, puppet shows, crafts, carriage rides and an 1800s-era Santa Claus.

This year’s festivities include a lively new twist, thanks to the performance of Klezm’Or’Ami’m, Jewish Klezmer musicians from Congregation Or Ami who will perform at the Valentine Richmond History Center at 1 p.m.

Also new to the mix this year is the Hunton Student Center, which joins the time-honored Egyptian Building and Beers House as MCV Campus tour attractions. Station guides will be on hand at all three buildings and the Beers House also will feature refreshments, period costumes and music.

Other participating sites include the John Marshall House, the Virginia State Capitol, the Museum and White House of the Confederacy, Monumental Church and St. John’s Church.

Two free shuttles will operate on a continuous loop stopping at each of the attractions. Free parking is available in the History Center parking lot on 10th Street between Clay and Marshall streets and at the MCV Visitor Parking Deck at 1220 E. Clay St.
