Virginia Commonwealth University President Eugene P. Trani is requesting nominations for the Presidential Awards for Community Multicultural Enrichment, which will be presented during a special ceremony this spring semester.
The PACME Awards honor individuals who have made significant contributions toward enhancing VCU's commitment to diversity. Four separate awards recognize students, faculty, classified and hourly staff, and administrators. In addition to the award, each recipient will receive $500. The Riese-Melton Award, which is given for contributions to cross-cultural relations, is the capstone award. The recipient of this award will be chosen from the four PACME winners and will receive an additional $250.
Information and the nomination form for the awards are available at http://www.students.vcu.edu/pacme/. Nominations are due by Feb. 20, 2007. Detailed information about the ceremony will be available later this semester.
