Virginia Commonwealth University President Michael Rao, Ph.D., is requesting nominations for the Presidential Awards for Community Multicultural Enrichment, which will be presented during the 2014 annual PACME awards celebration on April 16 at the VCU Student Commons.

The PACME Awards honor individuals who have made significant contributions toward enhancing VCU's commitment to diversity. Four separate awards recognize students; faculty; classified and hourly staff; and administrators. In addition to the award, each recipient will receive $500. The Riese-Melton Award, which is given for contributions to cross-cultural relations, is the capstone award. The recipient of this award will be chosen from the four PACME winners and will receive an additional $250.

Nominations should be submitted electronically by March 3. Information and the nomination form are available at http://www.inclusive.vcu.edu/news/pacme.html.
