VCU Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU present ‘Kids and Snoring: When Should You Be Concerned?’

Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU are offering a series of free educational seminars featuring experts providing important health information, sharing their expertise and answering questions on current health topics.
The series’ next lecture, “Kids Snoring: When Should You Be Concerned?” will take place on Wednesday, May 14, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Education and Library Complex, 1800 Lakeside Ave. It is free and open to the public, but registration is required. “Kids and Snoring: When Should You Be Concerned?” will be presented by Michael Schechter, M.D., pulmonologist at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. The seminar will discuss when to be concerned with a child’s snoring habits, since children who snore often and loudly may face other problems. He will go over the causes, complications and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea in children, based upon recently published guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
