Monroe Park, MCV campuses providing presidential inauguration viewings

Virginia Commonwealth University is providing opportunities at various locations to view the broadcast of the historic inauguration of the 44th president of the United States on Jan. 20.

The Presidential Inaugural Ceremonies and Parade will be shown from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the following locations: 

  • University Student Commons: Commonwealth Ballrooms on the second floor and Common Ground on the lower level.

  • Hunton Student Center: first-floor TV lounge and second-floor Alumni Association Lounge.

  • Shafer Court Dining Center: Rodney’s on the first floor.

  • Cabell Library: Distance Education Classroom, Room B-35; lounge adjacent to the B-8 Computer Lab; and Group Viewing Room 310 all from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Also, the "world view" from foreign news channels will be shown in the first-floor International Newsroom.

  • Tompkins-McCaw Library: Distance Education Room 2-010 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All events are free and open to the VCU community.
