Nuclear Engineering Student Brittany Poteet Crowned Miss Virginia USA 2011

Virginia Commonwealth University graduate student Brittany “Nikki” Poteet was crowned 2011 Miss Virginia USA Nov. 6. The 23-year-old will graduate with a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering in December.

"I would like to combine my areas of education to begin researching natural forms of cancer treatment, such as dietary changes,” Poteet has said.

Poteet will represent Virginia in the Miss USA 2011 pageant in Las Vegas in the spring.
