President to deliver State of the University Address

Virginia Commonwealth University President Michael Rao, Ph.D., will speak about VCU’s progress as one of the country’s premier urban public research universities during his inaugural State of the University Address on Thursday.

Rao will speak at 3 p.m. in the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m. for the event. A live webcast of the address will be available at www.vcu.edu. Sign language interpreters will be available for the deaf and hard of hearing.

During his address, Rao will highlight the many ways that VCU’s students, faculty, staff and alumni have accelerated VCU’s progress and brightened its star on the national map with their profound successes. In addition, Rao will outline the university’s remaining priorities.
