Virginia Commonwealth University President Eugene P. Trani and Provost Steve Gottfredson will present the annual Presidential Awards for Community Multicultural Enrichment during a ceremony on Wednesday, April 25, at 3 p.m. in the Richmond Salons of the University Student Commons. The ceremony is open to the entire VCU community.

The awards recognize members of the university and the VCU Health System communities who have contributed to diversity and cross-cultural relations. Each year a PACME — and $500 — is awarded to an individual or organization in each of four groups: faculty, administrators, staff and students. In addition, one recipient earns the Riese-Melton Award, a capstone award that includes an additional $250.

This year’s winners include M. Njeri Jackson, faculty award winner; Marquita Aguilar, staff award winner; and Olisa Enrico-Johnson, student award winner. The winner of the Riese-Melton Award will be announced during the ceremony.

VCU’s Black Awakening Choir will perform at the ceremony. A reception will follow.
