School of Pharmacy Celebrates 12th Annual White Coat Ceremony

The ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. on Aug. 25 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, 403 N. Third St.
Tom Reinders, associate dean for admissions and student services, will introduce members of the class of 2016, and Victor Yanchick, professor and dean of the VCU School of Pharmacy, will present students with their white coats.
School of Pharmacy alumnus Rafael Saenz (Pharm.D. ’03), who is the assistant dean for the School of Pharmacy’s new University of Virginia division and administrator of pharmacy services for the UVA Health System, will deliver the keynote address.
Preceding the ceremony, students and their families and friends are invited to visit the School of Pharmacy Open House between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the R. Blackwell Smith Jr. Building, 410 N. 12th St.
Student organization representatives will be on hand with information and displays, and several faculty members will offer lab and classroom tours.
