Moon will lecture about "USA Today: Building the Brand" at 3:30 p.m. in Room B1115 of Snead Hall at the VCU School of Business, 301 W. Main St. Moon's presentation is free and open to the public.
Moon has been president and publisher of USA Today, which has the largest circulation of any newspaper in the United States, since May 2003. In addition to USA Today, Moon oversees USAToday.com; USA Today Live, the television arm of USA Today; USA WEEKEND, a national newspaper magazine; and USA Today Sports Weekly, a weekly baseball and football magazine.
Moon has also served as executive vice president of Gannett's Newspaper Division, president and publisher of The Tennessean in Nashville and president of the Gannett Piedmont Newspaper Group, which included seven daily newspapers, seven weekly newspapers and two shoppers in Middle Tennessee.
In addition to his public presentation, Moon will meet with VCU students and faculty earlier in the day on April 3. The Charles G. Thalhimer Family Executive-in-Residence program was established to bring nationally and internationally prominent business leaders to the VCU School of Business to interact with students and faculty. Issues and ideas are exchanged, generating growth for all participants.
