The project, which is an annual event between VCU and Fear 2 Freedom, a global nonprofit organization working to help victims of sexual assault, is being held in observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The event will be held on Monday, April 8, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the University Student Commons, Commonwealth Ballrooms. Kits will benefit both adult and children victims of sexual assault who are patients of the VCU Medical Center.
Students, faculty, staff and the public are invited to attend the event and help assemble the kits, which will include toiletries, clothing, toys and sexual assault educational information and resources. The kits will be delivered to the VCU Medical Center Emergency Department via ambulance at the conclusion of the event.
