VCU Medical Center presents ‘New Breakthroughs in Cardiac Care’

The Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center continues its free educational seminar series this winter featuring experts who provide important health information and answer questions on a variety of current topics in health care.

The series’ next lecture, “New Breakthroughs in Cardiac Care,” will take place on Feb. 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Education and Library Complex, 1800 Lakeside Ave. It is free and open to the public, but registration is required. “New Breakthroughs in Cardiac Care” will be presented by Drs. Richard Cooke, Kenneth Ellenbogen, Vigneshwar Kasirajan, John “Ian” Nixon and George Vetrovec of the VCU Pauley Heart Center. The seminar will be a panel discussion of heart experts who will discuss developments in the treatment of atrial fibrillation, hypertension, structural heart repair and sleep apnea as well as new procedures to improve heart health.
