VCU Medical Center Healthy Lifestyle Expo Postponed to Feb. 13

Due to inclement weather predicted for this weekend, the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center’s 2010 Healthy Lifestyle Expo has been postponed to Saturday, Feb. 13.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, 403 N. Third St.
Representatives from more than 25 clinics and services at the VCU Medical Center, including the Pauley Heart Center, Massey Cancer Center, Spine Center, Breast Imaging Center, Children’s Medical Center and many more will be on site to answer health questions.
Promoting healthy living and total wellness, the expo will feature fitness and cooking demonstrations as well as health screenings, product demonstrations and access to health and wellness experts.
Special guest celebrity chef Nathan Lyon will offer cooking demonstrations and will answer questions regarding healthy cooking. A team from American Family Fitness will lead participants in aerobics, and Ellwood Thompson’s Local Market will provide participants with tips on healthy eating. The event is sponsored by WTVR-TV.
