Nobel Laureate Ferid Murad, M.D., Ph.D., with the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, was a guest lecturer at VCU this week. He was the co-recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine in 1998 for his contributions to the discovery of nitric oxide as a signaling molecule in the cardiovascular system.
