VCU Presents Talks in Translation Research Lecture Series

The Center for Clinical and Translational Research at Virginia Commonwealth University announces its Talks in Translation Research Lecture Series.

The inaugural talk, co-sponsored by the VCU School of Nursing, will feature Pamela H. Mitchell, Ph.D., professor of biobehavioral nursing and health systems at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Free and open to the public, Mitchell’s talk, “Thinking in Circles: Translational Research Cycles,” will take place on Thursday, Sept. 15, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the VCU School of Nursing Younger Auditorium, Room 1009, 1100 E. Leigh St. Her presentation will include discussions on the evolving definitions of translational research and examples of translational science models. Translational research seeks to advance science and foster collaborative partnerships with researchers to speed innovation and accelerate laboratory discoveries into improved treatments for patients.
