VCU providing student transportation to the polls on Election Day

Virginia Commonwealth University Parking and Transportation and Monroe Park Campus Student Government Association will sponsor an Election Day shuttle to transport VCU students to various polling locations around downtown Richmond on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

The following locations will be serviced:

  • Randolph Community Center (504) – 1415 Grayland Ave.
  • Clark Springs Elementary School (505) – 1101 Dance St.
  • Richmond Public Library (607) – 101 E. Franklin St.
  • George W. Carver Elementary School (213) – 1110 W. Leigh St.
  • Dominion Place (206) – 1025 W. Grace St.

The shuttle will run on a continuous loop, providing transportation from Cabell Library to the designated polling locations, then returning back to Cabell. The service will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

To facilitate adequate service levels, reservations for rides are requested; however, they are not required. Reservations can be made online at http://go.vcu.edu/electionday. On Nov. 8, students should present their VCUCard to the driver upon boarding the shuttle.
