VCU Real Estate Circle of Excellence Officers Announced

The Real Estate Program at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Business has announced new officers in its Real Estate Circle of Excellence.

The Real Estate Circle of Excellence is a group of real estate and mortgage lending executives that provides advice on the quality and relevance of the Real Estate Program’s educational and research programs, offers student internships and scholarships and organizes the annual VCU Real Estate Trends Conference.

New officers include:

  • Susan F. Dewey, executive director, Virginia Housing Development Authority – President
  • Gloria L. Freye, partner, McGuire Woods, LLP – President Elect
  • Paul W. Kreckman, vice president, Highwoods Properties – Vice President
  • David Williams, managing director, Grubb & Ellis/Harrison & Bates – Secretary/Treasurer
  • Bruce A. Kay, vice president, Markel Corporation – Immediate Past President

VCU’s Real Estate Program, which is part of the Department of Finance, Insurance and Real Estate in the VCU School of Business, offers master’s and bachelor’s degrees in real estate. VCU is the only university in the state with a bachelor’s degree in real estate.
