VCU School of Business Foundation hosts summit on innovation and data

The Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business Foundation’s annual innovation summit this year focuses on data.

VCU Innovation Summit 2018: Innovation and Data” takes place Friday, March 23, from 9 a.m.to noon at Snead Hall, 301 W. Main St., in the Center for Corporate Education, Room B3189. Check in and a continental breakfast start at 8:30 a.m.

Co-hosted by the VCU da Vinci Center, the VCU Innovation Summit brings together practitioners and academics with thought-provoking presentations by executives and leaders in the area of innovation.

Speakers are as follows.

  • Kenneth Kahn, Ph.D., senior associate dean, VCU School of Business, presents “The Innovation and Data Imperative;”
  • Khalid Behairy, global leader, Cognitive Solutions Department, IBM Watson Group, presents “Innovation Through IBM Watson;”
  • Stephen Olive, chief information officer, Owens & Minor, presents “Innovation and Data in Healthcare Logistics;”
  • CoStar Group’s Mary Glerum, director of Product Management, and Mike Morrison, director of Unified Communications, present “Innovation in Real Estate Information.”
