VCU School of Medicine Presents Pain Management and Spine Symposium

The Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine will present the 2011 Pain Management and Spine Symposium for physicians and other healthcare providers who encounter patients with chronic pain of various etiologies.
The symposium will take place Oct. 15 from 7 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. and will continue on Oct. 16 from 7 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at the Richmond Marriott West Hotel, 4240 Dominion Blvd., Glen Allen. Registration is required.
Presented by the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Pain Medicine Fellowship Program and the Office of Continuing Medical Education, the symposium will feature professionals from the evolving field of pain medicine who will share their expertise in the advancement and treatment of painful disorders.
Experts also will assist participating health practitioners in accurately diagnosing, optimally treating and effectively preventing painful disorders.
University Health Services Professional Education Programs of the VCU Health System is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
This continuing education activity meets the criteria of Virginia Commonwealth University and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, so 1.1 Continuing Education Credits will be awarded and recorded with the university.
