VCU To Hold Panel On Local, Regional Emergency Planning

A panel of state and regional emergency preparedness professionals will discuss emergency planning as it relates to a range of social equity issues, including linguistic barriers, economic disparities and disabilities.

"When the Sirens Sound: Policy, Research, Politics and Equity in Regional Emergency Planning," will be at 6 p.m., Feb. 15, at the Richmond Omni Hotel, 100 S. 12th St.

Free and open to the public, the event is hosted by Virginia Commonwealth University's College of Humanities and Sciences and the National Academy of Public Administration.

The Richmond Commons community discussion is part of the sixth annual Social Equity Leadership Conference, which is sponsored by the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs.
