VCU To Present Conference on Infant Mortality Prevention

The Virginia Commonwealth University Center on Health Disparities will present "A State of Emergency: How Do We Save the Next Baby" as part of the Richmond Regional Summit on Preventing Infant Deaths.
The summit will take place Monday Oct. 22 and Tuesday Oct. 23 at the Downtown Richmond Marriott, 500 E. Broad St.
Presented in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Health Saving Babies Initiative, the conference is designed for healthcare professionals, parents, policy makers, community leaders and anyone with an interest in raising awareness and addressing issues related to infant mortality, low weight births and prematurity.
The event also will offer workshops, panel discussions, planning sessions, partnership development exhibits and will feature national and local speakers.
Cost of the conference is $35 for general registration, $45 for nursing education credits and $55 for continuing medical education credits.
