VCU's Hayes E. Willis Health Center to host back to school rally

WHAT: To kick off the new school year, the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center’s Hayes E. Willis Health Center of South Richmond is sponsoring a community back to school rally.

Students from grades K-12 who attend the rally will be presented with a packet of school supplies that includes binders, pencils, notebook paper and crayons.

A representative from Family Access to Medical Insurance Security will be present to answer questions from parents about the Commonwealth of Virginia’s health insurance program for children, including health and medical services covered by FAMIS, costs and eligibility requirements.

Food and refreshments will be served. The Step Team from Richmond’s George Wythe High School will provide entertainment. Organizers also are arranging a clothes giveaway.
