It was standing room only at the VCU School of Engineering atrium on Friday, April 24, for the annual Senior Design Expo. The expo is the culmination of eight months of effort by the design teams. Nearly 40 teams participated, and projects ranged from an automated security system to a portable solar desalination unit and a thermoelectric generator. The displays and the crowds spilled outside to the courtyard at the 2009 School of Engineering Senior Design Expo, which this year included an outreach program for middle and high school students to meet with the seniors and their advisers.
