A memorial fund has been established in honor and memory of VCU School of Pharmacy associate professor and alumna Amy Whitaker Rudenko(Pharm.D. ’98), who died May 25 at age 38.

The school will use the fund to make awards to selected Pharm.D. students who have demonstrated leadership qualities.

"It was created to help keep Dr. Rudenko’s name and spirit alive into perpetuity," said Victor Yanchick, Ph.D., dean of the School of Pharmacy.

The Tau chapter of the Kappa Epsilon professional fraternity is encouraging student members and alumni to pay tribute to Rudenko, as well. Rudenko was one of four KEs honored at a memorial service during the Kappa Epsilon 49th National Convention, which was held in Richmond in mid-July.  School of Pharmacy student Tina Lowe says the Tau chapter plans to match up to $5,000 in donations from fraternity members.
