Einstein Bros. Bagels Opens at VCU

Virginia Commonwealth University is offering a new dining option on the Monroe Park Campus this spring with the opening of Einstein Bros. Bagels on the first floor of Shafer Court Dining Center.

Einstein Bros. Bagels opened Tuesday and will offer freshly baked bagels, signature sandwiches, breads, home-style soups and artisan roasted coffee.

"We surveyed students last spring, and they let us know that they liked bagels, and they preferred the Einstein Bros. Bagels brand,” said Diane Reynolds, director of VCU Business Services. “Whether on the go or taking a break, students, faculty, staff and visitors alike will enjoy the convenience and friendly service that they’ve come to expect from Einstein Bros. Bagels."

The restaurant will operate between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays.

"We’re bringing our wide variety of menu offerings and baking heritage to everyone at VCU,” said Jeff O’Neill, chief executive officer and president for Einstein Noah Restaurant Group Inc. "We are pleased to introduce the popular Einstein Bros. brand to this world-class institution."
