Bunce, executive director of the Department of Assurance Services at VCU, has been named president-elect designate of the board of directors for the national Association of Government Accountants. He will serve from 2010 through 2013. The AGA focuses on supporting the careers and professional development of government finance professionals. Bunce has extensive experience in government accountability, having served 11 years as a state legislative auditor and 21 years as the internal audit director at two major state agencies. Bunce also served as AGA’s past national treasurer, as president of the Richmond Chapter, and is the chair of its Professional Certification Board.
