Internationally-recognized corporate marketing expert to speak at VCU on building, retaining reputation in the public sector, Nov. 13

WHAT:           The Public Administration Program of the School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University will present a speech by Elliot Schreiber, Ph.D. – an internationally-recognized expert in corporate marketing, communications, reputation and brand management.  He will speak on “Building and Retaining Reputation Value in the Public Sector:  Possibility or Non Sequitur?” The event is free and open to the public.

Managing an organization’s reputation in the public sector is challenging but critical. Schreiber, an expert in the field of reputation management, will speak on how agencies in the public sector can define, build and manage their reputation.

Schreiber is the VCU Public Administration Program’s 2003 Temple Professional-in-Residence. He joined the faculty of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University in September 2001.   Previously, he enjoyed a highly successful 22-year career as a senior marketing and communications executive at three global corporations in the United States and Canada, and as managing partner of a management-consulting firm. He teaches courses in management strategy and corporate reputation, and brand management. In 2002, the DeGroote MBA Association named him “Outstanding MBA Professor of the Year.”
