VCU welcomes two-time Super Bowl champion James Farrior and Richmond Flying Squirrels mascot Nutzy to the VCU Medical Center to meet with and encourage pediatric sickle cell patients.

Farrior and Nutzy will arrive at the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic on the second floor of the Nelson Clinic building, 401 N. 11th St., on Friday, April 27, at 9:30 a.m.

The visit will occur just hours before James Farrior and another Pittsburgh Steeler, Ryan Clark, team up with VCU to “Tackle Sickle Cell Anemia” during a benefit gala at the Richmond Marriot.

Media must be escorted into the hospital. Representatives from the VCU Office of Communications and Public Relations will be on hand to lead media from the Nelson Clinic building lobby to the second-floor pediatric clinic.
