Nobel Laureate to Speak at VCU

A Nobel laureate in physiology/medicine will give a lecture titled “Turning Pages: From Gels to Gene Targeting,” at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Oliver Smithies, Ph.D., the Weatherspoon Eminent Distinguished Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will be a guest lecturer at VCU this week. He was a co-recipient of the Nobel Prize in physiology/medicine in 2007.

The event is Tuesday, March 24, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Hermes A. Kontos Medical Sciences Building auditorium, Room 101, at 1217 E. Marshall St.
