The 10 Under 10 awards recognize the noteworthy and distinctive achievements made by alumni who earned their first VCU degree within the past 10 years. VCU Alumni honored the remarkable 2015 recipients at the inaugural 10 Under 10 awards ceremony in May. The awards also provide an opportunity for current and future students to recognize the tremendous accomplishments of alumni who have attained notable success quickly following graduation.

“Our GOLD alumni are exemplary from both an inspirational and an aspirational perspective,” said Gordon McDougall, associate vice president for university alumni relations. “VCU President Michael Rao often calls upon the VCU community to commit ourselves to making our world a better place by doing for others, and our young alumni heed that call.”

Nominations can be made by any person or group affiliated with VCU — students, faculty, staff or alumni. Note that nominees must have graduated from VCU between 2006 and 2015. In addition, consideration is given to the nominee’s contributions in one or more of the following ways:

  • Service to the university.
  • Service to VCU Alumni.
  • Remarkable professional success.
  • Outstanding contributions to the community.
