Jason Mauney (left), a new inductee into the Beta Gamma Sigma Society and the graduating senior from the VCU School of Business with the highest GPA, helps dedicate an official VCU Beta Gamma Sigma Key (inset) in the courtyard of Snead Hall in an April 24 ceremony. With Mauney are (from left to right) George Kasper, professor of information systems; Michael Sesnowitz, dean of the School of Business; Charles Byles, associate professor of management; and Steven Markel, who received the Chapter Honoree Award from Beta Gamma Sigma. Beta Gamma Sigma is the business honors society. The key was installed as a symbol of academic excellence and school pride and is located in a place that students and faculty will pass each day. This year 113 students – a record – were inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma at VCU.
