Students, staff, faculty and alumni will team up with people who live in neighboring communities to “Paint the Town Green” on Saturday, April 20.
The event, designed to clear litter from neighborhoods and to strengthen town-gown relationships, kicks off with a free breakfast in Monroe Park, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Participants will then separate into teams and travel to Carver, the Fan, Jackson Ward, Mosby Court, Oregon Hill or Randolph to remove trash and litter from the neighborhoods.
After the cleanup is complete, participants are invited to Richmond’s 17th Street Market to take part in an Earth Day event.
“Paint the Town Green” is sponsored by the Student Government Association and presented by the Management 319 Organizational Behavior Class.
