School of Social Work Dean Finalists Announced

Virginia Commonwealth University has announced its three finalists for the position of dean of the VCU School of Social Work.

The finalists were selected by the School of Social Work Dean’s Search Committee. Each candidate will visit campus to meet with faculty, staff and students. Beginning March 4, all VCU School of Social Work faculty, staff and students will be able to provide feedback with a valid eID by visiting the search process Web site - http://www.sswdeansearch.vcu.edu/. The site also includes information about the finalists and the search process, including details about the candidates’ presentations on campus.

The three finalists are:

  • Timothy L. Davey, associate dean for community engagement for the VCU School of Social Work. Presentation on March 5.
  • James Edward Hinterlong, associate dean for research for the College of Social Work at Florida State University. Presentation on March 8.
  • Anna Marie Scheyett, associate dean for academic affairs for the School of Social Work at UNC Chapel Hill. Presentation on March 12.
