Virginia Commonwealth University's Department of Information Systems will host monthly forums where anyone can discuss and ask questions about how technology impacts businesses.
"Tech Tuesdays" kicks off Sept. 21 at 7:30 a.m. in the VCU School of Business, room 1101, 1015 Floyd Ave., Richmond, Va., with a discussion on information technology security issues. The guest speaker will be Mark A. Engles, who works in Dominion's information technology risk management area.
Future meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of each month and the agendas will be determined by participants, with possible topics to include security, ethics and social responsibility, emerging technologies and knowledge management.
The meetings are free and open to the public. Small businesses and nonprofit organizations are encouraged to participate. Registration is recommended but not required. To register, contact Maureen E. Carley in the VCU Department of Information Systems at 828-7074 or mecarley@vcu.edu.
