Representatives from Virginia Commonwealth University and 19 other campuses across the United States will participate in a national community engagement faculty development program later this month at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Tim Davey, Ph.D., associate dean for community engagement, School of Social Work; Cornelia Ramsey, Ph.D., community research liaison, Center for Clinical and Translational Research; Dace Svikis, Ph.D., deputy director, Institute for Women's Health, and professor, department of psychology; and Susan Polich, Ed.D., instructional designer, Center for Teaching Excellence, will represent VCU. More information about the program can be found here.

Upon their return, the VCU team will seek further input from the VCU community for a grant proposal to implement a faculty development program that supports community engaged scholarship.
