RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Commonwealth University's 2004 fall commencement exercises will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 11 at the Stuart C. Siegel Center, 1200 W. Broad St.
This year's fall commencement speaker is Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-7). Rep. Cantor also will receive an honorary doctor of humane letters during the ceremony.
Media representatives are required to obtain media credentials from VCU News Services in order to gain access to the floor of the Siegel Center and reserved media seating.
Media may pick up media credentials Dec. 8-10 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the VCU News Services office, 816 W. Franklin St. For media who are unable to collect these in advance, News Services representatives will be on hand to distribute credentials the morning of commencement in front of the VCU Athletic Hall of Fame -- located just inside the building's west entrance.
VCU will award nearly 1,900 degrees to graduate, undergraduate and professional students during the ceremony. For more information on VCU's 2004 fall commencement, visit http://www.vcu.edu/commencement/.
