VCU to Present Women’s Leadership Development Program Luncheon

The natural value of womanhood will be the focus of the 2008 HIGHER Ground Women's Leadership Development Program Luncheon sponsored by the Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute at Virginia Commonwealth University.

"Born a Woman! Born a Leader" will be held on Friday, Jan. 18, at the ComfortInnConferenceCenter Midtown, 3200 W. Broad St., from noon until 5 p.m. Registration begins at 11 a.m.

Topics include leadership practices and factors that influence a woman's effectiveness at work, home and in the community. The featured keynote speaker will be Stacy Hawkins Adams, nationally acclaimed author, speaker and freelance journalist.

Presentations include "Leadership Presence" with David Leong and Aaron Anderson of the VCU Theatre Department, "The Power of Partnerships" with Najmah Thomas of The Cameron Foundation, and "Leadership: Personal and Professional" with Deborah Davis of the VCU Health System.
