Virginia first lady Anne Holton visited VCU to speak with members of an honors freshman seminar class taught by Cathy Howard, Ph.D., vice provost for community engagement. Holton discussed her own college experiences and career as a Juvenile Court Judge in the City of Richmond and led the class in a discussion of “A Nation of Jailers,” written by Glenn C. Loury, professor of social studies at Brown University.
